Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 August 2026
The short version. Linya keeps your scripts on your phone. There is no account, no server of ours, and nothing is uploaded in the background. The one exception is the AI script rewriter, which you have to switch on yourself by adding your own API key — and even then, only the script you choose to rewrite is sent.
What stays on your device
All of it, unless this policy says otherwise. Your scripts, folders, prompter settings, take history, and filler-word counts are stored in Linya's own private storage on your phone. We have no server, no database, and no way to read any of it.
Uninstalling the app deletes this data permanently. That is why the app has an export feature — the exported file is yours, and it goes wherever you choose to send it.
The AI script rewriter
This is the only feature that uses the internet, and it is off until you enable it.
- To use it you supply your own API key from Anthropic. The key is stored on your phone and is sent only to Anthropic's API, over an encrypted connection, to authenticate your own requests.
- When you tap Ayusin ng AI, the text of that one script is sent to Anthropic so their model can rewrite it. The rewritten text comes back to your phone.
- Nothing else is sent — not your other scripts, not your takes, not any identifier about you or your device.
- Anthropic's handling of that text is governed by their own privacy policy and by the terms of the account whose key you used.
If you never add a key, Linya makes no network requests at all.
Camera and microphone
Linya asks for the camera when you record a video inside the app, and for the microphone when you record or when you turn on voice-paced scroll or the filler-word counter.
- Video you record is written straight to your phone's own gallery (Movies/Linya). It is never uploaded anywhere by Linya.
- Audio for voice features is handled by Android's built-in speech recognition. Depending on your phone and settings, Android may send that audio to Google to convert it into text, under Google's privacy policy — the same as any voice typing on your device. Linya receives only the recognised text, uses it to find your place in the script and to count filler words, and does not store the audio or the transcript.
- Neither the camera nor the microphone is used unless you are on the screen that needs it, and both stop when you leave.
Analytics and advertising
There are none. Linya contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter, and no tracking of any kind. We do not know how many times you open the app or what you write in it.
Children
Linya is a tool for making videos and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Linya sends data anywhere new, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
